  1. I think unfortunately when we first hear about Meditation we think that we’re not allowed to think anything at all. So we spend our time thinking “don’t think don’t think don’t think” and then get upset when we can’t stop thinking. I think the best advice I was given was that it’s not that we’re not ‘allowed’ to think, but more that we’re not suppose to attach to the thought. And that we need to be more of an ‘observer’ watching the thought go by, then bringing our thoughts back to our meditation.
